Our Author Gang Favorite Reviews
Book reviews (good or bad) provide important feedback to the authors and without reviews, a book gets lost in the thousands of other books that are released every month.
Every author appreciates and values the opinion of readers but we’re strongly discouraged from engaging with readers and thank them for their reviews on publishing sites.
The authors of Our Author Gang celebrate and appreciate the readers by posting our favorite reviews between September 10 and 22. Every day a different author of the group posts about their books and quote from their readers’ favorite reviews.

My Favorite Reviews
Palace of the Twelve Pillars: Book One
Palace of the Twelve Pillars combines fantasy and religion. I love both so this book is amazing to me! While I was reading I noticed that Asha is God's character and Sidramah is the devil's.
My favorite part of the book is when Brandan wants to go searching for Joachim even though he's a little jealous of him. This is my favorite part because it reminds me of my sister Marguerite and me. Sure we get jealous of each other and it does include some pushing, shoving, and pulling hair, but we love each other so deeply just like Brandan and Joachim.
My least favorite part is when Brandan stabs Joachim in the shoulder. He literally stabbed him in the back! Joachim was just trying to help Brandan because he was hurt. This reminds me of God and Satan. God created and loved Satan but Satan betrayed him. Just like how Brandan betrayed Joachim.
Out of 10 stars I would give this book 9 1/2 and I'm a VERY hard grader! I think many religion and fantasy lovers would enjoy this book as much as I did or even more.

Palace of the Three Crosses: Book Two
Palace of the Three Crosses picks up where the previous book in the trilogy, Palace of the Twelve Pillars, left readers hanging in suspense. In it, we are reunited with Joachim and Brandan, the twin princes of Crato. Having gone through many trials and tribulations, have they each been truly healed and has their relationship been fully mended? Can they trust each other? Now faced with a missing mother and a kingless country, the princes must make many hard, adult decisions. In Palace of the Three Crosses, both physical and spiritual battles take place for the kingdoms in the land of Ramajadin, and for the hearts of the princes of Crato.
When Joachim is chosen as the new king of Crato, his brother becomes wrought with jealousy and turns back to the evil ways of Sidramah. As much as Brandan makes poor choices, he is a character with which many readers will be able to relate. Brandan betrays his brother, he falls in love with the wrong girl, and yet, through it all, the reader roots for him. Much like the humans of this world, he messes up time and time again, falls for Sidramah’s lies countless times, and yet, Asha still fights for him. Palace of the Three Crosses is full of love and loss, hope and despair, but as dark as the prince’s situation becomes, there is always the light that hope brings shining like a beacon in the dark.

Sanctuary of Nine Dragons: Book Three
The last book of the Twelve Pillars series, The Sanctuary of the Nine Dragons, finally brings the story of the two kings of Ramajadin full circle. In The Sanctuary of the Nine Dragons, the reader will find a story of hope and ultimate sacrifice. This adventure of Brandan and Joachim contains exiles, kidnappings and a loss of faith, all of which culminates into an epic final battle between good and evil.
Sidramah, the evil god, still has a strong hold on Brandan’s heart, and only a great sacrifice will free him from the bonds. Joachim, unwilling to give up the hope that one day Brandan will return to Asha, must abide by the Council’s decision to exile his brother. When news reaches Joachim of the likely death of Brandan and the kidnapping of his young son, Prince Airyn, he blames himself and neglects his country. Will the family’s next generation make the same mistakes as those before them, and is it too late for Brandan and Joachim to mend their relationship?
I love that this book focuses on the guardian dragons and the role they play in restoring Joa’s Faith in Asha’s love and his master plan. The Sanctuary of the Nine Dragons is a beautiful, moving ending to Christina Weigand’s Twelve Pillars series, but I hope she doesn’t just stop there. The adventures of the next generation of the royals of Crato and Mahorg need to be told, and I can’t wait to read about them!
