Favorite Reviews #1

My favorite reviews

Book reviews (good or bad) provide important feedback to the authors and without reviews, a book gets lost in the thousands of other books that are released every month.
Every author appreciates and values the opinion of readers but we’re strongly discouraged from engaging with readers and thank them for their reviews on publishing sites.
The authors of Our Author Gang celebrate and appreciate the readers by posting our favorite reviews between September 10 and 22. Every day a different author of the group posts about their books and quote from their readers’ favorite reviews.
Thank you for your interest in our books and happy reading!

As all authors know, reviews are a way for readers to voice their opinions and share them with the masses.  Thank you, readers, for picking up my books and leaving reviews. It means so much. Here are a few of my favorite reviews.

This review is particularly dear to my heart, because it is from the neurologist who diagnosed my disease.

"Dear Ms. Augustine, Thank you very much for providing me an autographed copy of your book "So you have MS, Now What?" You succinctly go through a lot of the concerns that our patients have when first diagnosed and also on treatment for multiple sclerosis. I am so glad you sent this to me and wrote it for patients just like you. It's been an honor to have been a part of your neurological care over the years. Sincerely yours, B Mark Keegan, MD, Department of Neurology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN."

I've never written in this genre, and to receive this review set my heart soaring!

"Dalgaard Castle: Grace Augustine - 5*****Stars
Brenna Dalgaard is the eldest daughter of the queen of the small Norwegian Kingdom of Taydaryn and has to face the fact that her beloved mother is dying, and she will soon have to take her place as the queen. Brenna is an ice dragon and a clothing designer with a prosperous business in Chicago and being a queen and running a kingdom is not something she is prepared for she is also not prepared for the actions of her sister Eldra who wants the throne and is willing to do whatever she has to get it even if it means killing her sister. This was a great story of jealousy, love and secrets and that is all I am going to say about it for fear of giving anything away.

Moonlight & Music by [Augustine, Grace]
Moonlight & Music is my favorite of all books written. The review is from one of my fangirl authors. It warms my heart that she feels this way about my writing.

"I received this book as a gift. Blake McIntyre has just lost his job as a music PR guy when he meets young musician and neighbor, Renee Manelli. Her talent could easily be his second chance to grab that golden ring, but she's a sensitive soul who soon touches his heart. Can mixing business with pleasure create beautiful music for these two? Once again, Ms. Augustine creates memorable characters with flaws and foibles that have you rooting for them to find happiness. Where Blake is confident and sure of Renee's path to success, Renee struggles to be all Blake thinks she is. Love, passion, and music. Add a glass of wine and a square of chocolate and savor the deliciousness!"     --V. Ardito

Richard's Relics (Acorn Hills Book 5) by [Augustine, Grace]
Richard's Relics is the 5th book of my Acorn Hills series and the most difficult book I've written to date.  Much research went into this book. This review simply states what the book is about and how much the reader enjoyed it.

"Richards Relics is the fifth book in the Acorn Hills Series. I've loved this whole series, this group has grown up together and they're all connected somehow. This book really touched me in several ways. Grace Augustine did a great job getting a full range of emotions in this book and I felt every single one on them.
"Richard is much like a lot of depressed people, they're fine on the outside, they put on a front for people. I've been like this much of my life. My motto has always been 'fake it until you make it'. This is Richard, he is tormented on the inside and Augustine was able to capture this so well.
"It's not all sad and gloomy, it will make you laugh too, this is a five star read and one I recommend to everyone for sure."    --verified Amazon customer

I can see why those are your favorite reviews, Grace. Wonderful! And the excerpts are spot on, too. Keep writing in the fantasy genre!

He is an outstanding neurologist at Mayo Clinic. One of the team of 5 who diagnosed the MS. I was so honored with what he wrote.
